Queens Jubilee

We’re not sailing this weekend so since it’s the Queens jubilee we decided to dress the boat up and make an exhibition off ourselves. Had a lot of positive comments from passers by and have is a chance to really get into the spirit of celebrating our great naval heritage and salute our monarch.

I met our Queen when I was in hospital as a child. She came to officially declare the hospital open. This would be in the early seventies. The children in the ward were all encouraged to draw flags. When her majesty came in she sidled you too me and looked puzzed. ‘What is that?’ she said. I had no answer I felt so ashamed that my flag which I thought was the Union Jack, was so poorly drawn out was unrecognisable. Even by the Queen.

So here you are your Majesty. I brought these especially for you. Hope you like them!
