The retrieval from Coniston proved difficult once more. The boat was missligned on its rollers. The problem was it was evening and access to the water was cut off when the gates were locked for the night. I had to jack to boat up on the car park and reposition the trailer under the boat. Fortunately I had several small hydraulic jacks and wooden blocks with me for that ‘just in case’ scenario.
The following weekend I added three more rollers with the aid of some shaped wooden blocks. Also made a start with the vee guide which should allow accurate alignment onto the trailer.
Some time later the ver was extended but just now I’m struggling to find a picture of it…bear with…
